7 minute icing

1 ½ cups sugar                

2 tsp white Karo syrup

2 egg whites

1/3 cup cold water

½ tsp vanilla

Dash of salt

Directions:

In top of double boiler, combine all ingredients except vanilla. Place double boiler overheat and beat with an electric mixer for 7-10 minutes. Remove from heat and add in vanilla. Beat one more minute. Icing should form stiff peaks with a spatula.
