Chili

1 lb. ground beef

1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix

1 large, chopped onion

1-2 Tb chili powder

Pat of butter

1-2 cans Campbell’s condensed tomato soup(50oz)  

1 can light or dark kidney beans (40 oz) can add more if like lots of beans

salt and pepper to taste

 

Directions:

Brown hamburger, slightly. Add in onion, soup mix, and enough water to cover the mixture. Cook until meat is brown, and onions are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste and 1 Tb chili powder. Let mix simmer together for about 15 minutes on low. Add in kidney beans and liquid from beans. Put in pat of butter and chili powder to taste. Simmer together for 20 minutes then stir in tomato soup. Add enough water to dilute to desired thickness. Simmer on low for additional 15 minutes before serving with garlic or corn bread.
