Waffles

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 tablespoons of sugar

¼ tsp salt

1 egg

1 cup milk

¼ cup of vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

 

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.  Mix the milk, oil, vanilla, and egg.  Add the liquid to the dry ingredients.  I like to use a hand beater to get a nice texture.  Scrape the bowl to make sure all the dry ingredients are mixed and beat until smooth.


Pour or scoop the batter onto the waffle iron, using approximately 1/2 to 3/4 cup for each waffle.


Makes 3 or 4 waffles.
