Root Beer Cake

1 box white or yellow cake mix

1¼ cold root beer

¼ cup canola oil

2 large eggs

Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of root beer extract if you want extra flavor.

 

Directions:

Combine cake mix, root beer, oil, and eggs.  Beat on low speed 2 minutes or stir by hand for 3 minutes.  Pour into greased 9x13 pan.  Bake a 350 for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.  Cool on a wire rack.

 

Choice of Frosting:

Frosting 1:  In a small bowl, combine 1 envelope of whipped topping (Dream Whip) and ½ cup of Root Beer.  Beat until soft peaks form.  Frost cake and store in refrigerator.

 

Frosting 2:  Combine 1 or 2 teaspoons of Root Beer extract with thawed 8 ounces container of Cool Whip.  Frost cake and store in refrigerator.
