Mummy's Buns

14 cups of flour

3 packages dry yeast

5 2/3 cup lukewarm water

1 cup sugar

1 cup shortening

1 Tbsp salt

*butter, cinnamon, sugar

Measure flour into a large bowl. In a small bowl combine warm water, yeast, sugar, shortening, and salt. Mix until yeast and sugar dissolve (I do this with my hand). Add liquid mix to flour and knead until smooth (5-6 minutes). Smear top of dough and sides of bowl with shortening. Cover with tea towels and let rise until doubled in bulk (about an hour depending on room temperature)

Shape into rolls and place on greased cookie sheets. (You can choose to make cloverleaf buns if you like, just be sure to grease muffin tins). Cover and let rise again until double in bulk. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
