Scalloped Potatoes

8 medium potatoes – peeled and sliced

1 medium onion sliced (optional)

1 stick butter

1 can evaporated milk

2 cans water (use the milk can)

Flour

 

Directions:

Peel and slice potatoes and onion.  Layer in a greased casserole and dot layer with butter, sprinkle with flour, and salt and pepper.  Continue layering and then pour milk/water over the potatoes.  Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 1 to 1½ hours.  Serves 6-8.
