Florence's Rolls

3 cups luke warm water

1 tsp salt

2 tblsp sugar

1 packet yeast

 

Dissolve yeast in the above ingredients.  Let stand 8 minutes until bubbly.  Add ¼ cup melted butter and 8 to 9 cups flour.


Knead until smooth.  Grease pan and let rise 1 ½ hours (covered) or until double in size.  Make into rolls and put into greased pans.  Let rise until double in size.  Bake in a 350 oven.


Florence liked to put seven dough balls in a glass pie pan and bake them together so there are some soft edges as well as crusty edges.
