Chocolate Zucchini Cake

½ cup butter, softened

½ cup vegetable oil

1 ¾ cups sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup baking cocoa

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ground cloves

½ cup sour milk (To sour milk, place 1 ½ tsp white vinegar in a measuring cup.   Add milk to equal ½ cup)

2 – 3 cups (or more) shredded zucchini

½ cup chocolate chips

 

In a mixing bowl, cream butter, oil, and sugar.  Beat in eggs and vanilla.  Combine dry ingredients; add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.  Mix well.  Stir in zucchini.  Pour into a greased 13*9*2 inch baking pan.  Sprinkle with chocolate chips.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.  Cool on a wire rack.
