Hootenanny Cookies

1 cup oleo soft
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup hot water
1 cup each dates, raisins, and nuts.

Cream oleo, add sugar & vanilla, & eggs. Beat until light; add sifted dry ingredients alternate with water. Mix well. Stir in fruits and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven 325 Degrees. 10-12 min. Makes 4 dozen. Store in airtight container.
